Dr. Jami Murray, LPC-DC-VA, LCPC-MD, NCC

I am a seasoned psychotherapist and co-owner of M&K Counseling Associates Inc., with over 25 years of experience in leadership, supervision, and counseling in various behavioral health settings. Licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, I specialize in LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My practice focuses on providing personalized support to individuals impacted by trauma, severe mental disorders, and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Beyond my clinical work, I am deeply passionate about mentoring the next generation of therapists, having taught a wide range of counseling subjects to both master’s and doctoral students at local universities and continuing education seminars. My goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their fullest potential.

Carolyn Reclusado , LICSW-DC

Partnering with individuals to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and overcome obstacles is my passion! I have worked with a diverse population of clients of all ages over the past 9 years including veterans and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I partner with each of my clients to develop strategies that allow them to achieve their goals using a variety of therapy modalities. I have experience with a wide range of mental health diagnoses, trauma, substance use, and domestic violence. I am currently pursuing certification both as a Level One Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and as Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist (CMNCS). I believe building our understanding of how our brains and emotions work empowers each of us to live life more fully.

Maya Deshpande, LPC-DC

I approach counseling by creating an open, collaborative environment to empower clients to build self-compassion and define their identity on their own terms. As a queer person from an Indian-American family, I am passionate about centering my clients’ cultural contexts and intersectional identities since they play a role in how we all view the world. I have over four years of experience working with adult and adolescent clients who struggle with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, eating disorders and OCD. I also have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and individuals who want to explore their racial and ethnic identity. I integrate evidence-based approaches to therapy including Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

Danielka Zeledon, LPC-DC-VA

I am a bilingual Spanish-English licensed professional counselor serving clients in Virginia and the District of Columbia. I have advanced training and professional experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence based practices that focus on body-mind connection. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and directive in nature, and I support clients to strengthen their sense of autonomy throughout treatment. I enjoy working with culturally diverse populations and couples. I recognize the power of human potential to promote change, and use the therapeutic connection to promote client’s healing.

Anne DeGirolamo, LICSW- DC

I am a warm and engaging therapist with over 15 years of counseling experience. I am also an adjunct instructor at Catholic University School of Social Work. My conversational approach to therapy combines humanistic and cognitive behavioral styles in a non-judgmental and inviting manner. I have extensive experience working with trauma, victims of sexual assault, and substance abuse. During the early 1990’s, I was an AIDS epidemic advocate who worked with families and individuals living with this disease.

Peter Devlin, LICSW-DC

As a therapist with a foundation in the relational forms of psychodynamic and humanistic therapy, I firmly believe in the centrality of the therapeutic relationship. This bond is vital to enabling healing and growth within my clients. My approach to therapy is flexible and dynamic, with a harmonious integration of tools from diverse psychotherapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychoanalysis. This eclectic mix allows me to customize therapy to the unique needs and circumstances of each individual or couple.

I have a particular strength in connecting with clients who have not felt understood or who haven’t been able to establish a therapeutic connection in previous attempts. My expertise in navigating the tough terrain of high-conflict couples therapy stands out as one of my practice’s unique features. I am skilled at discerning the layered complexities that each couple brings and at guiding them through to a place of greater understanding and resolution.

My practice is devoted to working with adults and couples exclusively. We begin with an exploration to identify behavior, thought, and emotion patterns that may no longer be beneficial, or may never have been beneficial. This process is crucial whether the issue at hand is deeply entrenched, a response to a current life challenge, a crisis, or a wish to deepen self-awareness. Therapy serves as a healing journey, as well as a path to illuminate those parts of the self that remain hidden or underdeveloped.

I specialize in a variety of clinical interests including couples and marriage counseling, relationship and intimacy issues, personality disorders, depression and mood disorders, anxiety, the experience of loneliness and alienation, grief, trauma and PTSD, navigating through life transitions, overcoming creative blocks, and aiding clients in their pursuit of identity and self-knowledge. It is my personal dedication to foster a therapeutic space that not only provides relief from distress but also champions the pursuit of self-discovery and personal evolution.

Theresa Owens, LICSW-DC

I aim to create a space where you can feel empowered to show up as you are. Using an integrative, strengths-based approach—primarily drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—I help clients explore relationships with their thoughts, feelings, and experiences to enhance psychological flexibility and take values-driven actions. I enjoy working with adults navigating challenges related to anxiety, neurodivergence, self-esteem, identity development, life transitions, and interpersonal relationships. With five years of experience in behavioral and mental healthcare settings, I am here to offer support on your journey of personal growth and self-exploration
